Sharing Near and Far

Meeting at Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts in Norwich this Magic Acorns Network Meeting focussed on the recent series of arts residencies called "Near and Far". The residencies were situated in communities with nurseries and museums. Artists worked with museum collections to create material possibilities for exploration for the children in local nurseries. Using handling objects, projections, and other digital sensory objects, the artists created an immersive experience in the partner museum spaces for families and children to visit. The artistic outcomes were based on the children's interests, curatorial play with their own objects and creative explorations facilitated by the artists.
